TV Messenger Applications

TV Messenger offers a number of special applications to provide information. Some of these applications provide information that is displayed on a ticker line at the bottom of the TV while other applications could use the entire TV to display information. Applications can specify a start and stop time over which they will operate and will automatically turn off at the Stop time. Some of the applications will automatically update with current information at the time interval that is specified. If a ticker message is sent to a TV which is operating an application, it overrides the application display as they are considered to have priority over any application. In many cases applications are often used by the message senders (often Care Givers) more than for the TV viewer (Cared For person). The information provided by the apps, is generated in the language which is associated with the TV it will be displayed to.
